“Sin saberlo, mientras lo fue construyendo, se fue forjando en paralelo, algo aún más trascendente. El tiempo y su trabajo, permitió que la materia que estaba moldeando, se convirtiera en algo nuevo, distinto a lo pensado, transformándose sin mayor aviso, en su vehículo y su refugio. Agradecido por lo acontecido, el obrero continuó su labor, seguro, sereno y alegre, ya que pudo sentir, que este regalo del destino, era reflejo y símbolo también, de lo que en su hacer, había construido consigo mismo”.
/“Without knowing it, while he was building it, something even more transcendent was forging in parallel. Time and his work, allowed the material he was molding, to become something new, different from what was thought, transforming without further notice, into his vehicle and his refuge. Grateful for what happened, the worker continued his work, confident, serene and joyful, since he could feel, that this gift of destiny, was also a reflection and symbol of what he had built with himself”.
En la tranquila localidad de Linares, en el fondo del patio de una vivienda, sobre los muros y viga de una antigua y desmantelada bodega, se apoya una estructura metálica, alargada, ligera y esbelta, que sirve de soporte, para una cubierta que protege del sol en una de sus caras e ilumina en todo su largo por la otra. Esta techumbre, intencionada y particular en su forma, en conjunto con una tabiquería y portón, adosados a lo previamente existente, conforman en su conjunto, un espacio interior de uso flexible, ventilado, liberado, amplio e iluminado, que es hoy, la cara visible y punto de encuentro, reunión y trabajo de atípico espacial. Así, esta obra autoconstruida, ajustada y de bajo costo, intenta ser reflejo de las lógicas, dinámicas y valores, que posee este taller.
/In the quiet town of Linares, at the back of the courtyard of a house, on the walls and beam of an old and dismantled winery, an elongated, light and slender metal structure is supported, which serves as a pillar for a roof that protects from the sun on one side and illuminates its entire length on the other. This roof, intentional and particular in its shape, together with a partition and gate, attached to the previously existing, make up as a whole, an interior space of flexible use, ventilated, liberated, spacious and illuminated, which is today, the face visible and meeting point, reunion and work of atípico espacial. Thus, this self-built, adjusted and low-cost work, tries to be a reflection of the logic, dynamics and values that this workshop possesses.
