“Se alejó de todo y aún no fue suficiente. Siguió avanzando por un bosque conocido, hasta encontrar la guarida, que un niño pudo haber soñado alguna vez. Dentro de esta, protegido y seguro, descansó por un largo rato. Miró el cielo, cantó con los pájaros, viajó hacia las estrellas y durmió plácidamente. Abrió sus ojos, respiró profundo y se sintió liviano. Sin poder permanecer, retomó su camino, contento y entusiasta, con la ilusión ferviente, de volver a este lugar especial, que lo acogió tan generoso y amable, como la naturaleza misma”.
/“He got away and it still wasn’t enough. He continued advancing through a familiar forest, until he found the lair that a child could have once dreamed of. Inside of it, protected and safe, he rested for a long time. He looked at the sky, sang with the birds, traveled to the stars and slept peacefully. He opened his eyes, took a deep breath, and felt light. Unable to stay, he resumed his path, happy and enthusiastic, with the fervent illusion to come back to this special place, which welcomed him as generously and kindly, as nature itself”.
La obra, se emplaza en la pre-cordillera de Chile, en el sector de Armerillo, caluroso en verano, frío y húmedo en invierno, donde el cielo estrellado conforma una postal que maravilla y llena de vida las oscuras noches en la frondosidad de su vegetación. Estas condiciones, dan origen a un habitáculo prefabricado, que a través de su giro, flexibiliza y adapta su forma de uso, donde el entramado de la estructura, permite su escalada, a modo de juego para los niños que lo visitan, dejando interiormente las caras lisas e inclinadas para el libre apoyo del cuerpo. Es así, como la obra se transforma en un refugio, que se inserta bajo la misma lógica del lugar, como una piedra que se llena de tierra con el viento, se viste con musgo por la humedad del terreno, se baña con la lluvia, se cubre de nieve por el frío invierno y se seca con el calor del sol, vinculándose en armonía con su entorno.
/The work, is located in the pre-mountain range of Chile, in the Armerillo sector, hot in summer, cold and humid in winter, where the starry sky forms a postcard that amazes and fills the dark nights with life in the lushness of its vegetation. These conditions give rise to a prefabricated cabin, which, through its turn, flexes and adapts its way of use, where the framework of the structure allows climbing, as a game for the children who visit it, leaving the smooth and inclined faces for free support of the body. This is how the work is transformed into a refuge, inserted under the same logic of the place, like a stone that is filled with earth by the wind, dresses with moss due to the humidity of the terrain, bathes in the rain, it is covered in snow from the cold winter and dries up in the heat of the sun, bonding in harmony with its surroundings.
