“Bajo los cimientos extensos y poblados por el hombre, apretada y recluida, sin importar su inmenso poder, la tierra no pudo florecer. Así, con el tiempo, por costumbre u omisión, quienes vivieron por sobre, aceptaron esta nueva condición, de verdes escasos, rutas atochadas y vidas cotidianas, envueltas en paisajes artificiales y ruidosos. De los que viven hoy, ninguno alcanzará quizás, a saber cuánto pavimento más, será suficiente sobre el cual habitar. A pesar de este crudo presente, quién quiera plantar y regar una flor, será testigo de cómo esta florecerá, tan viva, bella y gentil, como su propia naturaleza”.
/“Tight and secluded, regardless of its immense power, the earth could not flourish under the sprawling, man-populated foundations. Thus, over time, by custom or omission, those who lived above, accepted this new condition, of scarce greens, jammed roads and daily lives, wrapped in artificial and noisy landscapes. Of those who live today, perhaps none will reach, to know how much more pavement, will be enough on which to live. Despite this harsh present, whoever wants to plant and water a flower, will witness how it will bloom, as alive, beautiful and gentle, as their personal nature”.
Sobre un extenso patio de pavimento, común y mezquino en su vegetación, se ubicó una plataforma de tierra elevada, con la intensión de proporcionar al espacio existente, un trozo de naturaleza particular, que permitiera a quien lo quisiera, sentarse o recostarse sobre este. Los montículos inscritos en el interior, se dispusieron de tal manera de posibilitar una diversidad de alternativas para el apoyo del cuerpo, favoreciendo la interacción social, bajo la tónica del descanso y el relajo. Con escasos recursos, utilizando las técnicas constructivas de las cubiertas verdes, se pudo materializar un ejercicio constructivo, que pretendió desde su origen, poner en valor la importancia y relevancia, que poseen las áreas verdes, en la vida cotidiana de las personas.
/On an extensive paved patio, common and meager in its vegetation, a raised earth platform was located, with the intention of providing the existing space with a piece of particular nature, which would allow whoever wanted it, to sit or recline on it. The mounds inscribed inside, were arranged in such a way as to allow a diversity of alternatives to support the body, favoring social interaction, under the tonic of rest and relaxation. With scarce resources, using the constructive techniques of green roofs, it was possible to materialize a constructive exercise, which was intended from its origin, to value the importance and relevance that green areas have, in people’s daily lives.
